Our Pre-K4B class was excited to meet meet Mr. H with his “Happy Hair” and Mr. X, to celebrate his differences. We discussed animals that hibernate, why they hibernate and where. We also learned some animals migrate in the winter while others adapt to the environment. The children worked together to create animal dens and enjoyed playing with animal puppets in their new homes. We also started getting ready for Valentine’s Day by making the upper and lower case letter H with hearts. While learning about the letter X, we discovered facts about our skeletons and the important job they have protecting our bodies. We even put together enough x-rays to make a full skeleton! We know that Phil predicted an early end to the winter weather but we have been enjoying the unseasonably warm weather outside on the playground every chance we get!
My family has been very happy with Community Nursery School. The teachers are warm and caring. It is a positive, nurturing environment for the children. I highly recommend this preschool.
