The children in the 5-day Pre-K class have been very busy getting ready for Thanksgiving. Ms. V, our Letter Person, paid a visit and turned our housekeeping area into a VEGGIE STAND. The children loved making lists of the things they needed to buy and loved paying the cashier when they were done shopping. Mrs. V brought VESTS with her and the children cut pictures of vegetables to glue them on. They loved wearing the vests in our classroom! The children also made turkeys and talked about what they were thankful for. After learning about Pilgrims and Native Americans, the children made hats and head dresses for our Thanksgiving feast. The children also problem solved and used sticks to create a teepee. It was a challenge but they loved to see their finished work. A big THANK YOU to Mrs. Cuomo for coming in and sharing her Native American heritage with us. It made the learning process so meaningful!
