We had a very HAPPY week learning with Mr. H, The Itsy Bitsy Spider and lots of singing and dancing!

The children in the 5 Day Pre-K Class had a VERY HAPPY WEEK!  On Monday they met “Mr. H”.  He has Happy Hair and he told the children that they will make their own Happy Hair by cutting construction paper and gluing it to a headband!!!!!  The children were shouting, “HOORAY!”  Mr. H also taught them how to play Hopscotch which helps develop their gross motor skills.  The children also read and discussed the nursery rhyme, The Isty Bitsy Spider.  They made a prop to act out the nursery rhyme and also sequenced the events to create a book to read at home.  The children also discussed the types of clothing we wear in winter.  They had to sequence how to dress to go outside in cold weather.  At this point , the children were wishing for summer!  They all agreed that we wear too many layers in winter!!!!!

We also had two fun visitors this week!  We had a great time meeting Daryl Cobb, a children’s book author. He read some of his books to us and we sang together too!  Mr. Ray also visited us this week and we had a great time at the concert singing and dancing together.  It was fun for everyone! (Please check out the “Photo”  tab on the website for pictures of these special events.)
