The young chefs had a great time slicing and cutting to create their very own pizza mummy. Next, they made “ghost” vanilla milkshakes. We found that most of them liked everything except for the olives (used as the mummy eyes). They had a great time and a lot of fun! LITERACY ENRICHMENT:
In Literacy Enrichment we talked about rhymes and ending sounds. We enjoyed reading books and finding the rhyming words.
We rolled out air dry clay until it was big enough to place a leaf on top. We gently rolled over the leaf to imprint the veins onto the clay. After cutting it out and smoothing the sides with water, we let it dry. The metallic colors we chose were the perfect fall colors to paint our leaves! They all came out great!
Music and Movement Class spent a lot of time getting ready for Halloween! We sang scary songs and read spooky books. We played charades with our favorite spooky characters and costumes, and read a new favorite book, “Monsters Love Underpants”.
