THE PREK 3A CLASS EXPLORED EVERYTHING APPLE THIS WEEK!

It’s apple picking season and that means the Pre-K 3A children explored everything apple!!  We explored the different types of apples, the colors apples come in,  and what the inside of an apple looks like.

This week the children worked on apple tree projects and colored apples with tiny worms as a cute reminder of one of our stories,  Apple Picking Day!  During  small group work, the children rolled dice and counted out apples to see who’s tree would have the most apples!  We also did an apple tasting, trying red, green and yellow apples at snack, and then voted on our favorite! We closed out this week by celebrating Johnny Appleseed Day where the children learned about John Chapman and how he planted apple orchard’s across the country.

Apple and apple tree art projects were fun ways to learn and practice counting

The children used dice to count and then add apples to their apple trees.

Despite som rain, the children did get to go outside and enjoy the Fall weather!
