PreK- 3B explored Trees during our tree study where we learned about different types of trees, different kinds of leaves and the colors they change in the fall season. The children loved exploring, creating and learning about trees. We also carried our lessons outside on the playground by going on leaf hunts and bringing them back to explore on our light table. We talked about similarities and differences with leaves which included colors and shape exploration. We concluded our tree study with a collaborative project of trees using different materials and skills such as cutting, ripping tissue paper and crumbling it and gluing it to make our fall trees. The children really enjoyed this, they were very focused and were SO PROUD of their work!
Mayur’s father also visited our classroom to teach us all about Diwali. Thank you for your presentation and for the visit! We learned that Diwali means the festival of lights, and we made a light project to take home.
The letter we have been exploring is Tt, since we have been exploring trees and we cannot forget about Turkey’s! We made several turkey projects and talked about being thankful and what that means. Wishing all our families a wonderful thanksgiving with family and friends!
