In preparing for our chick eggs to arrive next week, the children started a unit on pets. The children used toothpicks and jelly beans to build a house for their chicks. We sorted animals that would make good pets and created a list of how to take care of them in the Vet Center. The children graphed the kinds of pets each family had and drew pictures of pets they wanted. The unit ended with the children bringing in their favorite stuffed pet from home. The children built a house for their pet and made all the things their pet needs to be happy and healthy. The best part about our week was doing Pet Yoga! The children loved the Downward Dog pose and the Cat Stretch pose!
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Community Nursery School. The staff and administration are great and from the first day we knew our two sons would enjoy the time to socialize with other children, expand their creative horizons with the many arts and crafts projects and learn how to acclimate to a classroom environment. This has been a great resource to our family and has been a tremendous help in getting our kids ready for kindergarten.Robia Timko
