The PreK 3A class has been very busy the last two weeks exploring shapes, sorting, letters and numbers! The children were introduced to the letters Cc and Ll and did several creative projects for each letter.
The children made paper Chocolate chip cookies and glued them in the shape of a Cc. They also went on a leaf hunt and glued leaves to the letter Ll. Together we brainstormed many words that begin with a C and the letter L!
The children used leaf cut outs and played a sorting and matching game in the classroom and also used leaf stencils to create beautiful leaf paintings that are hanging in our classroom.
The children also practiced fine motor skills creating a Halloween spider web that they completed by using a needle and thread.
A break in the weather also allowed us a lot of outdoor time to explore the changing weather, falling leaves and lots of sunshine!
