Mrs. Roth’s class had fun with the newly hatched chicks, planting and learning with an enviroscape.

This week the children were able to help welcome 12 baby chicks to the school as our eggs began to hatch on Monday night! The children were able to watch the chicks up close and even pet and hold them in their hands!!

The children also did some fun gardening this week, planting their lima beans seeds in dirt now that the roots have started to sprout! We also created Mother’s day gifts, drip painting flower pots and planting pink flowers in them.

We celebrated special persons night on Tuesday, having moms and grandmas visit our room to share a song, a craft and a fun evening together.

On Thursday, one of our parents visited the classroom and read a story about the importance of keeping out water supply and oceans clean.  She brought in an enviroscape so the children could participate in a hands on learning experience, with each child helping to build the town, then seeing how water pollution can effect our environment.

We wish all our moms and grandmoms a very happy Mother’s Day!
