It was a super week meeting Ms. S and talking about the seasons!

This week we met Ms. Ss Super Socks and we practiced letter formation by tracing S in Shaving cream. We also discussed clothes we wear in each of the 4 seasons, sorting through socks and finding pairs.  We read the story, ” The Mitten” and used scissors to cut out mittens size ordering them from smallest to biggest. We also took silly sock pictures.

We had a great week with Ms. L and learning about the seasons. We also made the decorations for our tree !

This week we met Ms. L longest laugh and we located her on the land of the letter people map. We discovered things she loves like different lengths (long and short), laughing, looking at library books, and looking for her other letter friends. A great week full of fun Fall activities!

We had a great time playing together this week and making so many wonderful projects!  We made some amazing scarecrows and turkeys. We also made pumpkin pie!  We talked about Thanksgiving and our upcoming Thanksgiving feast.  Everyone decided what they would bring to share at our Thanksgiving feast in class. We learned about City vs. Country and we also learned about voting!

This week we talked about the differences in a city and the country.  We created a map of City vs. Country.  We also discussed what voting means and everyone voted on their favorite Letter Person.


We had a great week filled with Halloween activities!

We enjoyed our Halloween parties and made a jack-o-lantern and named him Jack. We also painted faces on pumpkin cut outs and created a pumpkin book based on how a pumpkin grows. We also worked on story details and sequencing characters in the stories: “There was an old lady that swallowed a fly” and “the deep dark woods”. We worked on more fine motor

We were busy this week getting our classroom ready for Halloween!

We spent the week decorating and preparing our classroom for Halloween.  We created spooky mummies and ghosts which focused on fine motor skills as we tore and stretched white tissue paper and cotton balls.  We also practiced with scissors as we cut spiders and 5 little pumpkins, which focused on cutting out circle shapes.  We sang a new Halloween song about silly pumpkin faces.

We had a Fabulous week meeting Ms. Ff and talking about fire safety. We also enjoyed doing a Halloween shape activity.

This week we met Ms. Ff Funny Feet and wrote Fabulous Ff’s in our letter people journals.  We talked about fire safety and sorted those pictures of things that belong in a firehouse vs. things that belong on a firefighter.  We made fire pictures with finger paint and put out shaving cream fires with spray bottles at the water table.  We named shapes and

We had a great week including a visit from the Metuchen Fire Department. We learned how to “Stop, Drop, and Roll” and we also enjoyed learning about Mr. H this week.

This week we met Mr. H “happy hair” and worked on our scissor skills cutting green yarn to make happy hair.  We also decoded letters for the phrase happy halloween and made ghosts with our hands.  We read some books from Mr. H like “Where Is Mr. H?”, “Who Will Help?” and “Henny Penny“.  All of the books discussed sharing.        


We had another wonderful week!

We had a fun filled week of Fall activities, play-dough, hula hoops and more.  The children enjoyed playing and learning together.  


This week we did some STEM-based learning.

This week we did some exciting STEM-based learning by using paints and watching them mix as we blew through straws.  We also learned about Mrs. M and her neighborhood.
