Building with 3A

For the past two weeks, the children have been exploring a mini study on construction and building.  The children used a variety of materials including branches, blocks, pool noodles and tinker toys to build houses and buildings.  They explored and discovered which materials are the strongest, which are difficult to build with and which were the most fun!

Now that spring has arrived and the weather is getting warmer, the children made “nest helpers” to help birds build their nests.  The children used twigs, dried grass, yarn and other materials for the birds to use in building their new nest.  The children can hang them on trees for the birds to visit!

The children also explored the letters Q and N. They created fun projects and worked on using curved and straight lines to improve their letter writing!
